The Benin FPZ features
     
 

Type

  • Juxtaposition of geographically delimited zones ;

With that in mind, and also to foster full development in every part of the country, the national territory of the Republic of Benin is divided into three (03) geographic zones defined as follows:

    • Zone 1 : A zone largely equipped with basic infrastructures such as the port facility, the airport facility, the railways, telecommunication, and industrial buildings.
    • Zone 2 : A zone reasonably equipped with basic infrastructures.
    • Zone 3 : A zone lowly equipped with basic infrastructures.

Location

The first geographically delimited area, covering 230 acres, is :
  • Within the local authority of Sèmè – Podji ;
  • 20 kilometres far from the port and international airport of Cotonou ;
  • equipped with the most important road network of the country ;
  • at the doorstep of the biggest African market : Nigeria (8km far from the Nigerian border) .

Land security

  • 99 years long-term lease ;
  • low cost of CFA 150 to 300 a year .

Investing in the Benin Free Processing Zone is the key to have access to several markets:
